Anniecrombie banked $1,414,477 in a career that ran from 1985-90.

Anniecrombie lived the last five years at Hunterton Farm at Stoner Creek and was housed in what owner Steve Stewart called “The Field of Dreams” which housed a lot of other successful horses.

She was sired by 1978 Harness Horse of the Year, Abercrombie, and although she only lightly raced in 1985, her successful year in 1986 started with a win at The Red Mile where she won by 3-1/2 lengths.

Following The Red Mile, she went on to sweep the Hayes Memorial and win the Jugette before winning a division of the Glen Garnsey Memorial in 1986.

Anniecrombie was purchased by John Carver in 1987 and she went on to win the 1987 American-National and the 1988 Breeders Crown Older Mare Pace before retiring as the third richest pacing mare of all time.

She will be laid to rest at the cemetery at Stoner Creek.
