Another big stakes win in Italy for sire Conway Hall

Belen Hall Fas, a 2-year-old Italian filly sired by Conway Hall, won the filly division in the prestigious Gran Premio Anact at the Arcoveggio track in Bologna, Italy, Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27) in 2:01.1h.

The purse for the winner was $71,500.

Belen Hall Fas, driven by V. Luongo, was in command the whole trip and won her fourth race from five starts.

The colt division saw the handsome chestnut trotter Banderas Bi, with Roberto Vecchione, as a very easy winner. He was timed in 1:58.1h, which is the best record for a 2-year-old trotter in Europe so far in 2019.

Banderas Bi is sired by Ganymede, a French stallion who is very popular in Italy, where he is second on the sire list to Varenne.

Banderas Bi is trained by Holger Ehlert, who recently won the Yonkers International Trot with Zacon Gio.
