Berkley Seelster (#3) and driver David Ingraham edge out Hebe and driver Bruce Ranger for a neck victory in the fourth race on Saturday at Pompano.

Friday night it was Odee Tycony at odds of 49-1 paying $101.80 to win. On Saturday night, in the fourth race $5,500 pace, it was Berkley Seelster at odds of 63-1 upsetting race favorite Hebe (Bruce Ranger) by a neck and paying $129.80, $29.00 and $6.80 across the board.

Driven by David Ingraham, Berkley Seelster covered the one mile race in a lifetime best 1:551 clocking. Trained by Diane Long and co-owned with her husband Bill of Ocala, Florida, it was the first win this year for Berkley Seelster, a seven-year-old gelding by Western Hanover. Robitaille (Kevin Wallis) was third.

It was the sixth time since the meet started October 10 that a horse has paid more than $100 to win.

Both Wally Hennessey and Kevin Wallis turned in driving triples Saturday.

Cam In Black ($7.40, $3.80, $2.80) and driver Vince Copeland went right to the front in the 10th race $11,500 Open Handicap Pace and never looked back, scoring a 1:523 triumph.

Leaving from post six, Copeland sent Cam In Black to the lead and cut fractions of :262, :562 and 1:242 with Little I Do N (David Ingraham) right on his back. Mean St Partners and Kevin Wallis came first-over at the half but they were unable to pass the leader as Cam In Black won with ease by a half length. Little I Do N was second with Swingin Glory (Richard Macomber) closing to be third.

It was the second win in three starts this year for Cam In Black, a five-year-old gelding by Cambest, trained by Jim McDonald and owned by the SSG Stables of Boca Raton, Florida.

Cam In Black is nominated to the upcoming $250,000 Isle of Capri Pacing Series in February along with Hipeka A, who won the Open II Pace in 1:524, First Foxy, a 1:544 winner in the seventh race pace and Mark’s Superstar, who won the sixth race pace in 1:522.
