Besides the top international trotter Lisa America, Lou Guida’s Italian stable, Scuderia Guida Italia, owns another fine 6-year-old mare named Laurel America.

On Thursday afternoon (Jan. 6) Laurel America won her third race in a row at the half-mile track in Bologne. She was an easy winner in 1:58.4h for driver Antionio Greppi and added $6,625 to her earnings.

Laurel America, who like Lisa America is sired by Varenne, has a lifetime record of 1:55.1f and earnings of $266,736. She has raced 64 times and has 14 wins. Just like stablemate Lisa America, she is trained by Jerry Riordan.

Lisa America will race next on Sunday, Jan. 16, in the Prix Tenor de Baune at Vincennes, France. That will be her last race before the Prix d’Amerique on Jan. 30.
