Applications available for HHYF scholarships

from the Harness Horse Youth Foundation

Westfield, IN — Applications are now available for the scholarships administered by the Harness Horse Youth Foundation. The documents and complete criteria for the various awards may be obtained by downloading from the Web site or by request via e-mail, telephone or regular mail.

There are several scholarships available including:

  • Gallo Blue Chip – for children of N.Y. or N.J. licensed trainers and caretakers;
  • Curt Greene Memorial – for students with a passion for harness racing;
  • Charles Bradley Memorial – for children of licensed pari-mutuel officials.

The scholarship program was the HHYF’s first project and has assisted many. In the past 30 years, HHYF has awarded in excess of $480,000 in scholarships to worthy students.

Applications must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2008.

Established in 1976, the Harness Horse Youth Foundation addresses youth education throughout the United States and Canada.
