ARCI Medication Documents update

Lexington, KY — Please be advised that the ARCI Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances and Recommended Penalties and Model Rule, the ARCI Controlled Therapeutic Medication Schedule for Horses, and the ARCI Endogenous, Dietary, or Environmental Substances Schedule have been updated.
The most current version and notable changes of these documents, which all have release dates of April 2015, are as follows:
ARCI Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances and Recommended Penalties and Model Rule, Version 9.00
- Added Cobalt, with penalties dependent on the concentration of Cobalt present in a biological sample
ARCI Controlled Therapeutic Medication Schedule for Horses, Version 2.2
- Added “for Horses” to title
- Directed readers to use Dosing Specifications for Methylprednisolone for recommended withdrawal guideline
- Added clarifying language to Furosemide reflecting ARCI Model Rule for minimum and maximum threshold
ARCI Endogenous, Dietary, or Environmental Substances Schedule, Version 2.0
- Added Cobalt with reference to ARCI Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances for penalty recommendations
