Saratoga, NY — Armbro Barrister racked up his third win of the season, taking the featured $17,000 Open Trot on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 25) at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway.

Parked second over to an opening quarter of :28.2, Armbro Barrister and Ray Schnittker found their way to the top before posting a :58 half. But the Paul Doherty trained trotter got little time to catch his breath before Poached and Dan Cappello, Jr. threw down the challenge for the lead. The two battled all the way to the wire, with Armbro Barrister holding on by a neck in 1:58. Clearly Possessed finished third.
