Art Of Norma takes Meadows Tuesday co-feature

Washington, PA — Art Of Norma charged three-wide through the final turn and had just enough racetrack to overtake pacesetter Strawb’s Chippie N in Tuesday’s (Feb. 11) co-feature at The Meadows, an $11,500 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Art Of Norma moved second-over and had plenty of pace when Brady Brown sent her wide for the drive. But could she rally over the sloppy surface and catch the leader? The 5-year-old daughter of Art Official and Up Front Norma did just that, defeating Strawb’s Chippie N by a length in 1:54.2, with Pappy Rocks third.

Trainer Paul Kennedy co-owns Art Of Norma, who lifted her career bankroll to $138,826, with Keith Pippi.

In Tuesday’s companion feature, an $11,500 distaff conditioned trot, Broadway Kabam outkicked Sophia Lia to score for Shawn Johnston, trainer Fred Uber Jr., and owners Jodi Martin, Kaylee Martin and Nicole Uber.

Dave Palone piloted four winners on the 13-race card, including a pair for trainer Ron Burke.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Wednesday (Feb. 12), when the program features a $15,927.66 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 1:05 p.m.
