Auckland Reactor to start Sunday at Harrah’s Chester

Columbus, OH — On this week’s episode of “Here They Come,” the USTA’s weekly podcast, Auckland Reactor’s trainer Kelvin Harrison said that he would look to take the horse to Harrah’s Chester on Sunday for his second North American start.

Auckland Reactor will start on Sunday in the $32,000 Harrah’s Chester Open.

With the draw for Chester’s Sunday, May 30, card now complete, Auckland Reactor will start from post position six in the $32,000 Open Pace, the 12th race on the program. Post time will be approximately 4:25 p.m. (EDT). Yannick Gingras has been listed to drive the New Zealand champion.

The 6-year-old Mach Three-Atomic Lass stallion is owned by the AR Stable. In his first North American start, this past Saturday night at the Meadowlands, Auckland Reactor finished sixth while pacing his mile in 1:49. He finished 7-1/4 lengths behind Real Joke, who crossed the finish line in 1:47.3.

Among the horses Auckland Reactor will be facing on Sunday is 2010 Presidential Series champion Blatantly Good. Owned by Jeffrey Bamond and trained by Mark Kesmodel, the 6-year-old Albert Albert-Lifeline stallion has hit the board in 10 of his 11 starts this year, with earnings of $161,280. Richard Silverman will drive from post two.

Edward Needle and Donnie Russell’s Mystery Chase will be seeking his third straight victory in the Chester Open when he scores from post three for driver George Napolitano, Jr. The 5-year-old Real Artist-Search For Cam stallion scored in a time of 1:49.4 this past Sunday.
