Awsome Valley surpassed the half-million dollar mark in earnings on Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.

Awsome Valley led the field of seven through an opening quarter mile of 28 seconds. The 8-year-old trotter marched to the half-mile unchallenged in 57 seconds before Celebrity Pegasus gathered momentum around a tiring Theresdemoninme and got within two lengths to three-quarters in 1:25.3. Awsome Valley drew away with ease in the stretch as Celebrity Pegasus went off stride and Wind Of The North, last week’s winner, rallied into second. Five Towns was third. Awsome Valley, a son of Valley Victor trained by Kevin Lare, surpassed the $500,000 mark in career earnings.
