Badlands Nitro to stand at Winbak Farm of Delaware

Chesapeake City, MD Winbak Farm of Delaware has announced that Badlands Nitro p,2,1:51.1f; 3,1:50f ($1,597,638) will be coming to Winbak Farm of Delaware in 2013.

Badlands Nitro was a stakes winner at 2 and 3. At 2, he equaled Artsplace’s world record of 1:51.1f in winning the Matron elimination and won the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Final. He was second in the Smullin Memorial.

At 3, he won the elimination and final of the Art Rooney, the final of the Battle of the Brandywine, elimination and final of the Max Hempt Memorial, elimination of the Cane Pace and elimination of the North America Cup. He was second (to Somebeachsomewhere) in the North America Cup final, Little Brown Jug elimination, the Cane Pace final and Progress Pace elimination.

The richest son of Badlands Hanover’s first crop averaged $27,429 at the yearling sales in 2011, headlined by Nitro’s Wiggle who sold for $100,000 at Harrisburg. His first crop is led by Tijuana Party p,2,Q1:56.1f ($39,795), who won a NYSS division at Monticello and was second in a NYSS division at Buffalo.
