Crete, IL — Sunday Night Racing at Balmoral Park has been an enormous success. Four Sunday cards in March produced a handle of $4,841,800. The four ten race cards averaged $121,045 per race. On the heels of those increasing numbers, the USTA and Balmoral Park are raising the bar again.

Starting this Sunday April 15, Balmoral Park will increase their two Sunday guarantees by $5,000 each. The 50 cent Pick Five will now have a guarantee of $15,000 every Sunday. The 50 cent Pick 5 wager is offered on races 2 thru 6. Post time for the second race is 8:30 Eastern, 7:30 Central and 5:30 Pacific.

Seven weeks ago on February 22, the five-race sequence provided three lucky fans a winning payout of $44,675.10 for a 50 cent wager. That amount was the largest Pick 5 payout in Balmoral Park history. Through April 9, the average wagered on 41 guaranteed pick 4 pools at Balmoral Park is $20,900 a night. The average 50 cent payout is $4,096.68.

Balmoral will also offer a $30,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 pool on races 10 thru 13. The Pick 4 has a one dollar minimum. Balmoral offers a Guaranteed Pick 4 wager every night with free program pages and a 15% takeout. The Sunday Pick Four now offers a $30,000 guaranteed pool with a 15% takeout, The Wednesday and Saturday Pick Four guarantees remain at $20,000 with the same 15% takeout.

Through April 9, the average one dollar payout is $3,096.74. The average Pick Four pool in March was a record $40,316. Balmoral Park currently has the lowest percentage of winning favorites in the country at 33 per cent.
