Daryl Bier drove Bandolito to a 1:51 score on opening day at Harrington.

The fastest horse so far in North America in 2015, Bandolito notched his fifth win of the year. Trainer/driver/owner Bier left alertly from his rail post position and was a decisive winner over Jebswesternshake and Believe This Bob.

Bandolito, a 5-year-old Ponder stallion, became the sport’s fastest horse this year with a dazzling 1:48.1 win at Dover Downs on March 26.

Despite having limited activity over the half-mile racetrack over the past few months, Harrington’s track seemed to be in mid-season form as five races were timed in 1:53 or less.

Drivers George Dennis and Jon Roberts each had three winners on the card. Allan Davis and Victor Kirby each had a driving double.

Live racing continues on a Monday through Thursday schedule.
