Bar None wins one of five divisions of the Super Bowl Series

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – January 11, 2006 – Bar None [$7.80, $3.80, $3.80] rallied to win the second race, the first of five $12,500 divisions of the first leg of the Super Bowl Series on a rainy, sloppy Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

Bar None won the first of five divisions of the first leg of the Super Bowl Series by a half-length over Sweater Weather.

Bar None won by a half-length over Sweater Weather [$7.80, $3.80, $3.80] with three-quarters of a length to Red Jet Jess [$6.60] in third.

Bar None trotted the mile in 1:58.2, posting his second win in six career starts. The four-year-old gelding races for John Taddeo of Bay Shore, New York; John Nordstrom of Lloyd Harbor, New York and trainer John Brennan of Little Ferry, New Jersey.

In the other first round Super Bowl divisions, winning efforts were turned in by Audit [Cat Manzi driving] in 1:58, Bancroft Hall [Cat Manzi] in 1:56.4, American Lane [Homer Hochstetler] in 1:59 and Elvis Cole [Mike Lachance] in 1:56.4.

The Super Bowl Series continues next Wednesday with a $65,000 final on January 25.
