Batavia, NY — There are many great betting opportunities available at Batavia Downs on Sunday (Aug. 8) starting in race one and continuing until the final contest of the day. Not only is the Pick-5 pool guaranteed at $5,000, but for the first time this year triple carryovers highlight this afternoon’s matinee program that has a 1:15 p.m. post time.

Due to a pair of double-digit winners on Saturday night (Aug. 7) that produced no winning Pick-5 ticket, the carryover for that wager today is $1,602 and the management of the Downs has guaranteed the Pick-5 pool at $5,000 as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program. The Pick-5 kicks off on race one.

Later in race five, Jackpot Pick-6 wagering takes place and that features a carryover of $733.

And last but not least, Jackpot Super Hi-5 wagering occurs on the 10th and final race of the afternoon and has a carryover of $912.

The Pick-5 is a 50-cent base wager and the Jackpot Pick-6 and Jackpot Hi-5 are both 20-cent base wagers so there are several occasions during the afternoon for bettors to win big with only a modest investment.
