Campbellville, ON — The Beat The Heat Pacing Series is back. Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to inform horsepeople that the nominations for the series are due Friday (June 1).

The Beat The Heat Series, which was introduced into Mohawk’s stakes schedule last year, will consist of two preliminary legs. The C$20,000 first leg will be contested on Saturday (June 23), with the C$30,000 second leg taking place one week later on June 30.

Twelve horses with the highest point earnings in the series will advance to the C$50,000 final, which is scheduled for Saturday (July 7).

The series is for older pacers, who are non-winners of C$25,000 in 2012 as of midnight May 31, with a minimum of five starts this year. Winners of over C$100,000 in 2011 are ineligible.

The nomination fee is $100.

Nominations can be made online at this link.

If sending nominations by mail, envelopes must be clearly postmarked no later than the said due date or payment will not be accepted. Registered mail is recommended.
