Bengurion Jet stole the show

The Italian 4-year-old trotter Bengurion Jet, with trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro, won the Prix Cagnes-sur-Mer at Jägersro Tuesday evening (July 27) in a new European record for 4-year-olds of 1:50.4f.

The Aabergs Memorial, with a purse to the winner of $185,000, was the main event this evening, but with his blistering performance, Bengurion Jet did steal the show.

Bengurion Jet was timed in :27.1 the last fraction and was more than 30 meters in front of the rest of the field at the finish line.

Bengurion Jet is sired by Maharajah and this was his fifth win in a row.

The Aabergs Memorial was won by another son of Maharajah, Who’s Who, with Ôrjan Kihlström in the bike. Who’s Who took an early lead and stayed on top to win easily in 1:53.4f.

Who’s Who is trained by Pasi Aikio and owned by the public stable Travkompaniet — a brainchild from Margareta Wallenius-Kleberg.
