Columbus, MN — Trainer/driver Rick Magee had plenty of confidence in his 5-year-old mare by Jenna’s Beach Boy, Best Of Jenna, as he sent her right out of the gate from post seven to take control of the featured race on the Tuesday night (May 30) card at Running Aces.

Best Of Jenna was a 1:52 winner in the Tuesday feature at Running Aces.

Magee was aggressive early with Best Of Jenna ($10.20) and immediately served notice to the field of nine talented pacing distaffers that he, and Best Of Jenna, meant business. The duo fired off a quarter in :26 and a half in :55.2, then re-fired the accelerators past the three-quarter post in 1:23.2 before kicking home in :28.3 to post a career mile of 1:52 by one length for owners Dr. Ken and Jana Lee Rucker. Kayla Grace (Joe Casagranda) picked up second, while race favorite Stable Eyes (Luke Plano) checked in third.

PV Miracle Mary ($6.40) with trainer/driver Joe Casagranda posted a big gate-to-wire score on the program as well, never in doubt in a 3-3/4 length romp while just missing her lifetime mark by one tick and stopping the timer at 1:53.1, in her eighth lifetime score. The talented 4-year-old pacing mare is by Dragon Again and is owned by Casagranda and David Kuzara. She is one to watch this summer at Running Aces.

The next card of live harness racing at Running Aces Casino & Racetrack will go to post on Saturday night (June 3) at 6 p.m. (CDT), with a carryover in the 20-cent Jackpot Pick-5 wager of $3,524.53, a carryover in the late 50-cent Pick-4 of $1,633.88 and a carryover in the 50-cent Hi-5 wager of $2,496.25.
