Bettor Sweet scratched from Graduate

from Meadowlands Publicity Department

East Rutherford, NJ — World record holder Bettor Sweet has been scratched from Saturday’s $210,000 Graduate Final at the Meadowlands due to a lung infection.

“We had some sick horses in the barn and when I scoped him earlier this week, he was clean,” trainer Joe Poliseno said Friday afternoon. “Today, I scoped him again and he has a guttural pouch infection in his lung.”

Host Mike Curci talked with Poliseno Friday afternoon on the Meadowlands Insider web radio show about the scratch and Poliseno’s chances with his other Graduate entrant, Western Shore. To listen, go to: www.njhorseracing.com/meadow_2.htm
