Bettor’s Delight book closed, Art Major close

Blue Chip Farms is reporting that Breeders Crown and Little Brown Jug champion Bettor’s Delight book is full and closed for the 2005 breeding season. It’s marks the fourth time Bettor’s Delight has entered the breeding season with a full book of mares.

Bettor’s Delight‘s book filled up late last week,” explained Blue Chip Farm’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mark De Rugeriis, “He’s going to have around 160 contracts.”

Bettor’s Delight, a son of Cams Card Shark out of the Armbro Emerson mare Classic Wish lead all first crop sires at the 2004 yearling sales with an average selling price of $38,459 including eight yearlings which sold for $100,000 or more.

De Rugeriis also said that Art Major’s book is very close to being full with a select number of limited bookings available. In his first season in the stud last year, Art Major was bred to 193 mares according to USTA records.
