Retirement Group Seeks Help For Adoption Checkups

Harness Racing Communications, a division of the USTA

The Standardbred Retirement Foundation is seeking a few more volunteers to make a one time visit to horses placed by them in adoptive homes.

The Foundation routinely checks on horses that have been placed for adoption to ensure that they are receiving suitable care. After a gratifying response to an earlier request, there are a few more communities that need volunteers to make one time visits to newly-adopted horses. Those towns are: Bonifay, Florida, Dalton, Georgia, Fort Lee and Bassett, Virginia, Palatine Bridge and Accord, NY, Wayne, NJ, Three Springs, Pennsylvania, Genoa, Wisconsin, Rogersville and Springfield, Missouri.

Anyone who can spend a few hours checking on an adopted horse is asked to contact Margaret DeSarono at margaret@srfmail.com or call 732-462-8773.
