Bettor’s Edge wins Dover Preferred Pace

Dover, DE — Bettor’s Edge nipped front-pacing Dynamic Youth and fast-closing Nova Artist in 1:50 to win the $30,000 Preferred pace at Dover Downs on Thursday, Dec. 19. Meet leading driver Corey Callahan added four wins to his to his total.

Bettor’s Edge defeated Dynamic Youth and Nova Artist in Thursday’s Preferred pace at Dover Downs.

Using a similar effort as in last week’s feature, Dynamic Youth cut out a fast pace and held off a lengthy challenge from Adventure Bound from the half to mid-stretch. In the lane, Corey Callahan driving Bettor’s Edge, who stalked the leader from the start, sped along the passing lane to nip Dynamic Youth and Vic Kirby in the final strides for his sixth victory of the year. Meanwhile Allan Davis and Nova Artist were bulleting on the outside and finished a neck back in third. With the win, Bettor’s Edge, owned by Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi and M1 Stable, has reached the six-figure mark this season with $104,800 in purses.
