Big day of racing in Maine

Marlborough, MA — The biggest purse day of the season, totaling nearly $150,000, will take place on Sunday (September 10) at Scarborough Downs in Maine with the finals for 2-year-olds of the Maine Sires and Breeders Stakes.
Three races each carrying a purse in excess of $49,000 will be featured on Scarborough’s afternoon program.
Bub Cianchette’s Dave’s Starr, with Bob Dinning up, is a favorite in the fifth race trot, while races seven and nine will feature filly pacers and colts.
