Final call for 2011 Winter Late Closers

The nomination deadline for Meadowlands Racetrack’s 2011 winter late closing program is Friday, December 31.

Stakes applications are available under the Horsemen section at MeadowlandsRacetrack.com.

The 2011 harness meet will open Friday, January 7. Post time is 7 p.m. for the Thursday-Saturday racing schedule. The series action kicks off January 13 with the Super Bowl for trotters 4-years-old and under (non-winners of two pari-mutuel races or $30,000 lifetime) and the White Ruffles for 4-year-old pacing mares (non-winners of two pari-mutuel races or $30,000 lifetime). Each series consists of two preliminary legs and a final.

Applications are also now available online for the spring late closing program, early closing summer stakes and the Meadowlands Pace. Nominations for the spring and summer stakes close February 15, 2011. Horsemen with questions may contact the Meadowlands race office toll-free at 1-877-STABLES.
