Bill Mt Pleasant wins truck at Ohio Selected Sale

by Lisa Schwartz

Mt. Sterling, OH — This month at the Ohio Selected Jug Yearling Sale every purchaser had an opportunity to win a brand new Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The promotion was sponsored by the Ohio Standardbred Breeders Association, Lang Chevrolet, the Lexington Selected Sale Company and the consignors.

At the conclusion of the final session, 15 hip numbers were drawn and those individuals were given a key to try in the locked door of the truck. Bill Mt Pleasant of Canton, Ohio was the lucky yearling buyer who was the winner of the new red Chevy Silverado.

Bill and his wife, Terri, purchased the aptly named Hot Roddin Sooze, a bay filly by Stand Forever out of Noble Sooze by Nobleland Sam and she was consigned by Hickory Lane Horse Farm of Findlay, Ohio for Florence Wallace.

Bill and Terri Mt Pleasant reside in Canton, Ohio and have owned and trained numerous horses throughout the years. They have been great supporters of the Standardbred industry in which Bill is an owner/trainer/driver who also serves as a program director and Terri is an owner who also serves as a charter and clerk of course on occasion. Currently they train approximately 17 horses at the Stark County Fairgrounds in Canton, Ohio.

Join us next year at the 2009 Ohio Selected Jug Sale and we’ll try to repeat the excitement. Remember to be there at the end to win!
