Monticello, NY — On Monday (June 20) the sport’s greatest traveling road show, the C.K.G. Billings Harness Driving Championship Series, moves on to Hazel Park Raceway. Nine trotters have entered in a contest that features both Midwest and Eastern Region drivers.

Billings President Tony “the Capo” Verruso and Series VP Steve “You’re Never Too” Oldford will be among the drivers looking for paydirt but there are others who are making a return to the Billings wars.

Included here is Kelly “Sky” Walker who’ll be making his Billings seasonal debut when he jumps up behind the early line favorite Intell On Broadway who’ll start from post position six. Though this will be his first drive in Billings competition, Walker already has won four races this year and recently enjoyed a driving double on Monticello Raceway’s All Amateur Day card of June 12.

Others who have mounts that night include veterans “Smokin’ Joe” Faraldo, Mike “the Mortgage Man” Mitchell and “Buckboard Bob” Miller. They’ll be joined by newcomers Rory “the Big Story” Moore and Mike ”Great Lakes” Sweeney.

“Roundhouse Rob” Krivelin, the current point leader in the Midwest Region, will be driving on Saturday at Yonkers Raceway in a Billings Eastern Region contest and will not compete at Hazel Park Raceway.

Post time for the 13-race card will be at 7:25 p.m.
