East Rutherford, NJ — Meadowlands chairman Jeff Gural has waved the white flag after losing the Beat the Boss contest for 16 weeks and has brought in a secret weapon, Lola the Parrot, to make his picks.

Starting May 4, Big M Club members can try to out-handicap Longshot Lola in the Friday Pick-6 for a chance to win a $500 betting voucher. Lola will make her picks live on the Paddock Level each week. Fans are invited to take pictures and say ‘hello’ to the Meadowlands’ newest mascot.

Pick sheets and complete Beat The Bird contest rules will be available at the Guest Service desk on the Paddock Level. Entries must be submitted before the start of the first Pick-6 race on Friday. Only one selection is permitted in each race. Each selection receives the equivalent of a $2 win wager. The promotion is open to Big M Club members only; one entry per person. The winner’s name will be posted at the Guest Service desk the following Saturday by 6 p.m.
