Bit Of A Legend N proved his success over a half-mile track was not limited to Yonkers Raceway with a triumph in the Molson Pace.

With Jordan Stratton at the controls, the 8-year-old son of Bettor’s Delight left from his rail position as the race favorite to gain control right off the gate. However, last year’s victor of this event, Evenin Of Pleasure, would not be denied his early bid for the lead and cleared his rival midway through the first quarter. Stratton was not content to sit in the pocket and steered his charge to retake the lead shortly before the teletimer flashed :26.3 for the early portion of the contest.

As Bit Of A Legend N continued to pace comfortably in front of the field, Night Pro commenced a first-over bid that was to no avail, as the Peter Tritton charge posted fractions of :55.4, 1:23.3 and stopped the clock in 1:51.3 for a relatively unchallenged triumph. Evenin Of Pleasure and Sunfire Blue Chip were in his wake.

Owned by Harry Von Knoblauch Stable, the 2016 George Morton Levy Memorial Pacing Series winner, collected his third win on the season to boost his seasonal slate to 10-3-2-3 and is now 38-16-4 in his career.

Bit Of A Legend N‘s victory on Friday boosted his career bankroll to roughly $1.6 million and with just under the million mark of that sum accrued since his transition from his native New Zealand to North America.
