Bold Eagle won the Prix de Selection.

Bold Eagle won the Prix de Selection over the 1-3/8th mile distance in 1:54.4 (mile record). The purse for the winner was $125,000.

Bold Eagle, who is sired by Ready Cash, has 11 wins in a row and he is regarded as the next French superstar. He will now have a short break as he will go to stud as it is common for top French trotters during the Spring.

Bold Eagle stands for $13,000, live foal, and has long been fully booked.

Bold Eagle is trained by Sebastian Guarato, who totally dominated the Prix de Selection, as he trained the first three finishers past the post.

In the Prix de l’Union Europeenne, raced over 1-7/8th miles and with a purse for the winner of $80,000, Akim du Cap Vert, driven by trainer, driver and owner Franck Anne, was an easy winner in 1:59.1 (mile rate).

This was the first win for Akim du Cap Vert since he won the Criterium des 4 Ans last May.
