Freehold, NJ — Boomer Berman, a 14-year-old trotter, will get a few seconds of fame on Friday (Dec. 31) on ESPN’s flagship news program, SportsCenter, at 6 and 11 p.m. (EST).

A clip of one of the horse’s wins this year will be included on “The Two Minute Drill” segment of SportsCenter, hosted by, who else, Chris “Boomer” Berman. Boomer Berman the horse faces mandatory retirement as of January 1, when he turns 15. Horses of that age can continue to race on a limited basis in amateur events.
