Branded By Lindy and Cool Papa Bell lead NYSS trotters to Vernon on Friday

Vernon, NY — Vernon Downs plays host to two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for 3-year-old trotting colts and geldings on a special Friday matinee (June 10).

The colt by Chapter Seven will be making his 2022 debut after a terrific freshmen campaign where he won eight times in 11 starts and amassed $230,650 in earnings. He is owned by Lindy Farms of Conn and trained by Domenico Cecere.

The Jim Campbell trained Cool Papa Bell (Brian Sears) is the 6-5 morning line favorite in the $57,000 second division. The Chapter Seven gelding is two for two as a sophomore, including a NYSS win at Tioga Downs. Owned by Runthetable Stables, he has five lifetime victories and has won $171,674 during his career.
