Wilkes-Barre, PA — The countdown is on to the 2018 Breeders Crown at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono and the track is ready for a spectacular night of racing.

Eliminations weekend will be just as big, with a special race night added on Friday (Oct. 19) for the 2-year-olds. In addition to the stars on the racetrack, fans have the chance to meet a former Philadelphia Eagle, Keith Byars, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the racing lobby. Wristbands are required, and will be distributed starting at 2 p.m. in the lobby. Only the authorized photo given to fans at the event will be signed.

On both eliminations nights, Friday and Saturday (Oct. 19 and 20), fans can be the first to own the commemorative Breeders Crown hat. The coupon for the hat will be in the live racing program, available both nights starting at 5 p.m. Redemption is between 9-10 p.m. in the lower Grandstand. Friday’s coupon is not valid on Saturday. Supplies are limited, and they are one per fan.

Post time for both nights is 7 p.m., with the 3-year olds and up on Saturday.
