Breeding stock main attraction at Blooded Horse Winter Sale

Delaware, OH — The Walnut Hall Ltd./R. L. Turner partnership dispersal headlined the Winter Mixed Sale on February 11 and 12 in Delaware, Ohio.

The owner’s statement reflected that both partners reserved the right to bid for their respective accounts. At the end of the 16 horse consignment Walnut Hall Ltd. had secured 11 of the horses. These included Penny Dream, in foal to Conway Hall, for $68,000; Shipps Infiniti, in foal to Conway Hall, for $48,000; and the great producing 16-year-old Cirque De Soleil, who was not carrying a foal, for $45,000.

Interestingly, a recipient mare carrying Cirque De Soleil’s foal was purchased by Nandi Farm for $16,000.

Young trotters were definitely in demand. Steel City led the way at $18,500 for consignor Holmes Stock Farm. Jacob Graber of Grabill, Indiana purchased the handsome son of Andover Hall.

He was followed by an unraced son of Dream Vacation, Chi Chi Chip, for $13,000, and conditioned trotters My O My Joe and VL Trump Card, both for $12,500.
