Ohio SRC to hold benefit tack and stallion auction

from the Ohio Standardbred Retirement Connection

Columbus, OH — The Ohio Standardbred Retirement Connection will hold its first annual tack and stallion auction on Saturday, February 16.

The auction will start at 1:00 p.m. with the stallion breeding auction starting at 3:00 p.m. The auction will be held at the Delaware County Fairgrounds coliseum in Delaware, Ohio.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the retired Ohio Standardbreds available for adoption by the Ohio SRC.

The following items will also be offered for auction:

  • A custom made show cart, courtesy of Superior Sulky
  • 35 bales of alfalfa hay, courtesy of Dean Redmond and Morrow Lands Farm
  • 10 bags of Purina Horsemans Edge grain, courtesy of Reiterman Feed & Supply
  • 2 books and 1 DVD of “Save Your Horse, A Horse Owners Guide to Large Animal Rescue” by Michelle Staples, courtesy of Michelle Staples
  • A one year subscription to Hoof Beats Direct, the online version of Hoof Beats, courtesy of the USTA

Along with live bidding at the auction, phone bids for the available stallions will be taken starting Thursday, Feb. 14, and ending Friday, Feb. 15, at 10:00 p.m. Please call (740) 964-2283 to place your bid.

The Ohio Standardbred Retirement Connection is dedicated to the Standardbred horse and to the harness horsemen and women of Ohio. We offer Standardbred owners the option of placing their retired Standardbred into our adoption program.
