Buckeye Stallion Series at Eldorado Scioto Downs

Columbus, OH — On Tuesday afternoon (July 3), 2-year-old trotting colts competed in the Buckeye Stallion Series at Eldorado Scioto Downs. On Thursday evening (July 5), their pacing counterparts will square off in their Buckeye Stallion Series divisions.

State Ofmyhead As (Broadway Hall–Yankee Jeanie) won race one in 1:58.4 with Elliott Deaton in the sulky. He is trained by Anette Lorentzon and owned and bred by ACL Stuteri AB. Following State Ofmyhead As were Seal Sniper (Dejarmbro–Valley of Dreams) in second and Ondine (Wishing Stone–Village Ballet) in third.

Joe Gotta Go (Neely Dunn–My Chere) had to go to the winner’s circle with driver Chris Page when they came home in 1:58.2 in race two. He is trained by Donald Gibson, owned by Mike Davison and Gary Crumrin and bred by Fred Polk. Hall N Bro (Dejarmbro–Hall-N-Flori) came in second and Count’s Chip (Full Count-Smart Chip) was third.

The top two colts in race five were both by Manofmanymissions. Surprize Mission (Manofmanymissions–Prize Chip) finished first in 2:01.1 with Tyler Smith in the sulky and Bat Chip Crazy (Manofmanymissions–Allthatnabagofchip) was a close second. Surprize Mission is trained by Sam Schillaci for owners Matthew Bencic, Howard Berke, Samuel Bova and Jodi Schillaci. Buba Can Dance (Uncle Peter–Dance Girl Dance) finished third.

The final Buckeye Stallion Series race was race seven. Buckeyeonbroadway (Dejarmbro–Dream On Broadway), driven by Hugh Beatty, came to the winner’s circle in 2:00.2. Buckeyeonbroadway is trained by Jeff Conger and is owned and bred by Denise Dennis and Dolne Farm Services LLC. Kandy Mac (Rompaway Wally–Kandy’s Kelsey) finished second and Master Malin (Uncle Peter-Pinup Springs) was third.

On Thursday (July 5), 2-year-old pacing colts take their turn at Eldorado Scioto Downs.

Race two will see four colts who will make their second start: Mcair (McArdle–Air Guitar Hanover), Sand Cutter (Yankee Cruiser–Up Front Bethann), Jlrockntheniteaway (Rockin Amadeus–JL Cruise The Nite) and D’Big Promise (Mister Big–Judy’s Promise).

Third-race second-time starters include Akron (McArdle-Western Top Cat), Colossal Caliber (McArdle-Colossal Sahbra), Yankee Boots (Yankee Cruiser-Boots N Saddle), Runhappy Ten (Pet Rock-Sister Jj) and Long Legged John (Big Bad John-Longlegacy). Pretty Boy B (Woodstock-Standing Pretty) will make his third start.

Race five will feature three Dragon Again colts and three Pet Rock colts. The Dragon Again colts racing are All Piped Up (Dragon Again-Southwind Piper), Mr Judge (Dragon Again-Caught The Bouquet) and Caviart Cooper (Dragon Again-Caviart Callie). Pet Rock colts in the fifth are Bom Bay Rock (Pet Rock-Four Starzzzz Hope), Levi (Pet Rock-Beam Of Joy) and Mr Bad Rock (Pet Rock-Baby Sweets).

The final Buckeye Stallion Series 2-year-old pacing colt race is the seventh. Dragonmetovegas (Western Vintage-Dragon Bolero) makes his third start tonight. Black Hole (Mr Apples-Feel The Thunder) is making his second start after his first start saw him in the winner’s circle at Circleville, Ohio on June 16.

The Buckeye Stallion Series will continue July 10 with 2-year-old pacing fillies at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
