Buckeye Stallion Series at Scioto

Columbus, OH – With $140,000 in Buckeye Stallion Series purses, 2-year-old colt and 3-year-old filly pacers took over the Jim Ewart Memorial undercard Saturday (Sept. 11) at Eldorado Scioto Downs.

The husband and wife, driver and trainer team of Dan and Christi Noble took two of the three divisions for 3-year-old filly pacers. Rockin The Blues (Pet Rock – Bolero Athena) won the second division in 1:54, while Saddle Up N Cruise (Yankee Cruiser – Boots N Saddle) won the third division in 1:53.3.

Free Thinker (Western VIntage – Live The Extreme) won the first division in 1:53.2 for Mike Wilder and Ron Burke.

Five divisions of the 2-year-old colt pace went to progeny of five different stallions and five different trainers.

Self Made (Fear The Dragon – Arrivista Hanover) won the first division in 1:53.2 for Aaron Merriman and Ron Potter; Xenia (Racing Hill – Determination Plus) won in 1:55.3 for Noble and Vernon Beachy; Velocity Chaps (Well Said – Velocity Chiplet) won in 1:53.3 for Josh Sutton and Mark Evers; Risenshine Seaside (Downbytheseaside – Vivid Shine) took the fourth division in 1:54.4 for Ryan Stahl and Brian Brown; Western Ready (Western Vintage – My My Marie) took the last division in 1:53.4 for Merriman and Scott Ferguson.
