Buckeye Stallion Series heads to Crawford County Fair

Grove City, OH — The second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 2-year-old filly pacers heads to the Crawford County Fairgrounds in Bucyrus, Ohio, Wednesday (July 21) with five first leg winners returning to action.

Five divisions will be contested, each with a purse of $17,500.

A total of 33 horses are entered with trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. sending four to the post and Christi Noble entering three.

Three first leg winners highlight action in the first division. The fastest is McAngel (McArdle) who was a winner in 1:55 and will have Chris Page driving for Sandy Beatty. Mike Wilder will drive Osceola Hanover (Racing Hill) for trainer Scott Betts. The filly won at Northfield in 1:56.1. Also in the field is Bowery (Downbytheseaside) with Brett Miller for Virgil Morgan Jr., a winner in 1:55.4.

In the second division, Future Ex-Wife (Fear The Dragon) will look for her second BSS win. She was a winner in 1:54.3 for Ryan Stahl and Bill Rhoades.

Cruzinbytheseaside (Downbytheseaside) will try to make it two straight wins for Miller and Morgan. She was a winner in 1:54.2 at Northfield.

The Bucyrus program will also feature stakes races from the Home Talent Colt Stakes on the 11-race card which will get underway at 5:30 p.m.
