Hamburg, NY — Buffalo Raceway has been forced to cancel yet again. This time the 13 race card scheduled for Saturday (Jan. 11) has been called off.

With temperatures in Western New York approaching 50 degrees, causing snow melt and rain, the track has become unsafe for horsemen and horses.

The 2014 racing season at the Hamburg oval will now get underway Wednesday (Jan. 15) with a first post of 5 p.m. In addition to a $5,000 guaranteed Pick-4 pool, opening night promotions including free programs and free schedule magnets will be available. Inside Track members will be able to redeem their coupons for their hockey puck giveaway as well.

Buffalo Raceway had received New York Gaming Commission approval to add Thursday (Jan. 23) and Thursday (Jan. 30) to the schedule.
