Burning Point equalled the stakes record of 1:49.2 to win the $331,500 Breeders Crown for pacing mares on Saturday night at The Meadowlands. The record is now co-held with Always Cam; and this was the second Breeders Crown for Burning Point, who won the Crown as a three-year-old.

Driven by Ron Pierce, Burning Point (Camluck-Tour De France-Falcon Seelster) took the lead just past the :26.2 quarter set by Marnie Hall, three quarters, holding the lead at the half in :53.3 with Born Storyteller (George Brennan) riding on her shoulder down the backstretch. She had a firm hold on the lead at the 1:21.1 three quarters and was strong to the wire in 1:49. 2, taking two-fifths of a second off her personal best, set last year as a five-year-old.

Born Storyteller (George Brennan) was second, about a length behind the winner and Easton Alliance N (John Campbell) was third by inches. Marnie Hall (Daniel Dube) was fourth and Glowing Report (David Miller) was fifth.

Burning Point is owned the Cuzzins Stable of Boca Raton, Florida and trained by Steve Elliott.
