Sacramento, CA — The California Horse Racing Board, as requested, approved the license application of Cal-Expo for 89 racing nights from December 26, 2009 through June 19, 2010.

“Our weekly schedule from December through March is basically Thursday through Sunday. Then in April through June, it will be Thursday through Saturday,” said Cal-Expo Director of Racing Dave Elliott. “We are hopeful additional Cal-Expo harness dates, as well as thoroughbred dates for the State Fair, are allocated and approved by the California Horse Racing Board in the very near future, thus allowing us to make public our complete 2010 racing schedule.

“The continued support of the Cal-Expo harness racing program has been excellent, with more stables on the way as we speak. We’re very grateful for the support and look very much forward to a great year in 2010 and the years to follow.”
