Call For Justice captured Monday’s $18,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Lady’s Dude was parked the opening three-eighths, leaving him vulnerable to the first-over challenge of Call For Justice and Dave Palone. The 6-year-old son of Justice Hall-Mika’s Mazurka held off the Lightning Lane thrust of Trustworthy Kid by a length in 1:54.1 while You’re Majestic, the lone mare in the field, rallied for show.

Ron Burke trains Call For Justice, who now boasts $491,127 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi. It was one of three wins for Palone on the 13-race card.
