Dreamfair Eternal, Canada’s Horse of the Year in 2010, will qualify Monday at Mohawk.

“Everything is on schedule,” Lamers said. “Since her last race, Pat (trainer Pat Fletcher) never completely shut her down. He kept jogging her to keep her fit and didn’t get serious with her until a few months ago.

“We’ll see how she qualifies on Monday and we’ll discuss with Randy (driver Randy Waples) if she needs another qualifier.”

A winner of 45 races lifetime, Dreamfair Eternal enjoyed a marvelous 2010 campaign which included a 16-4-1 record from 22 starts. She earned C$942,320 in seasonal earnings and posted victories in the Breeders Crown, Milton Stakes, Artiscape and Masters Series, just to name a few.

“She will have the same schedule like last year with one exception,” Lamers commented. “We would love to take her to Kentucky and race in the Allerage at The Red Mile. Like any horse, she would just love that track surface and it would be great to race her there.”

Overall, Dreamfair Eternal is a winner of C$1,708,735 so far in her career with a 1:49 lifetime best taken at The Meadowlands in 2009.

She joined Eternal Camnation as the only aged pacing mares to win the O’Brien Award as Horse Of The Year.
