Nichols, NY — Eliminations for the 60th Cane Pace ($400,000 est.), the first jewel in the Triple Crown of Pacing, will be raced on Sunday (Aug. 24) at Tioga Downs.

Entries must be declared with the Tioga Downs Racing Office no later than 9 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday (Aug. 20). Supplemental declarations (at a cost of $35,000) are also due by that time.

It is interesting to note that supplemental entry (for those horses not currently eligible) to the Little Brown Jug, second leg of the Crown, requires being the winner of the North America Cup, Meadowlands Pace or Cane Pace.

The Cane final will be raced on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 1).

Also on the Aug. 24 card is the second leg of the Kindergarten Classic Series for freshman trotters.
