In France, Cristal Money, driven by Franck Nivard, won the Group 1 race, Prix de l’Etoile for 3-year-old trotters at Vincennes.

The purse for the winner was $125,000.

Thierry Duvaldestin, who since 2004 has trained the winner of this race no less than eight times, trains Cristal Money who is sired by Coktail Jet.

On the card was another Group 1 race, the Prix de Normandie, an under saddle race for 5-year-old trotters, which also had a purse for the winner of $125,000.

On a sloppy track the favorites disappointed and instead rank outsider Astor du Quenne, ridden by Adrien Lamy, won easily as a 51-1 longshot!
