Carl Wade, 61, dies

Columbus, OH — Carl L. Wade, 61, of Arcanum, Ohio, died June 29, 2018, following a brief illness.

Carl Wade groomed many good horses, but the best one and his favorite was Western Hanover.

Mr. Wade spent most of his life working for the Gene Riegle stable in Greenville, Ohio. He groomed many good horses, but the best one and his favorite was Western Hanover.

He was actively involved with horse racing for more than 30 years, making lifelong friends in the horse racing community along the way.

He is survived by his brother, Larry; nephews, Aaron (Jonell), Bryan (Amy), and Jeremy; several close friends; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Betty.

Funeral services will be held Monday (July 9) at 10 a.m. at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St., Arcanum, OH 45304. Burial to follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday (July 8) from 2-4 p.m. at Kreitzer Funeral Home.
