Columbus, OH — It didn’t take new USTA handicapping columnist Steve Carpenito long to get into a winning groove.

In what was only his third column written for the USTA, he gave his readers a $72 partial wheel ticket on this past Saturday’s Meadowlands Pick-4, and those astute enough to “follow him to the windows” were rewarded by having to sign for half of the tidy $16,268.40 payoff.

Carpenito made the winning picks in his “Carpe(nito) Diem” column which appeared online this past Friday, April 30. He correctly used Hypnotic Blue Chip ($6.20), Distinct Color ($23.20), Mega Lightning ($15.60) and Allamerican Major ($18.20) on his ticket.
