Carter Michael Deo fends off late challenges, wins Meadows feature

Washington, PA — Carter Michael Deo held off late challenges inside and outside en route to a hard-earned victory in Thursday’s (Feb. 15) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,500 conditioned trot.

Carter Michael Deo quarter-poled to the top for Anthony MacDonald, but his work was hardly over. As they turned for home, the pocket-sitting Chezactic headed for the Lightning Lane while Rose Run Yanae ranged up menacingly outside. But the 4-year-old son of International Moni-Brigham Dream kept to his task and triumphed in a career best 1:53.2, three-quarters of a length better than Rose Run Yanae, with Chezactic third.
