Monticello, NY — The Catskill Amateur Drivers Club is sponsoring a spring/summer pacing series to be raced at both Monticello Raceway and Historic Track in the upcoming months.

The series will kick-off at Monticello Raceway on Thursday, May 20, and continue there on the Thursdays of May 27, June 10 and June 24. The series will then move to Historic Track on Friday, July 2, and return again to the Mighty M for races on the Sundays of July 18 and July 25. The series will culminate with both a consolation and a final at Monticello Raceway on Thursday, August 12.

Purses for the preliminary legs and the series consolation will be $3,000 with the series finale going for a $5,000 purse.

Horses must meet a criteria of conditions or they can be entered for a claiming price for up to $5,000. For a driver to be eligible, he or she must be a member in good standing with the Catskill Amateur Drivers Club and be at least 17 years of age. All participants must be licensed as a driver by either the USTA or Standardbred Canada.

Annual membership in the Catskill Amateur Driving Club is $50 and drivers will be assessed a $50 starting fee for each entry in the series. The starting fee in the series final is $100.

The European Point System will be used during the competition to determine the drivers who will be eligible to the series final.
