$.50 play: 23/12/457/24/16 = $24

Analysis:

Race 5: Two improving sophomore New York sired fillies to kick off the action. (2) Freetime was a fast closing second against faster in Lismore Stakes at Yonkers two back then an uncovered 4th in one of these at Tioga in mile that went in 1:52.2 last time. (3) Bettor Think Twice from the always sharp Sylvester barn started her sophomore career with two easy scores against lesser here then showed speed in one of these two back before a solid try also in one of these at Tioga leaving in :27.3 and finishing in :27.4 placing in 1:50.3 mile.

Race 6: (1) Belle Boyd lacks small track experience but ships down from Canada where she’s been a monster and gets the rail for Jamieson making rare appearance. (2) Summertime Lea is 12 for 14 career wise and has dominated the distaff pacers on the NYSS trail in her career. It should be a good matchup.

Race 7: Going three deep in this and will try to beat the favorite although have to include her. (4) Ballineen comes off a game two-move try from 7-hole in 1:50.4 Tioga mile; is familiar with Yonkers, gets better spot and Sears who handled her in last visit. (5) JK Black Beauty never fired in same 1:50.4 mile last time but has a fondness for this strip and plenty of ability. I’ll throw in (7) Road Bet at a price as well. This one had speed on both ends last time, knows her way around Yonkers and seems to be on the improve.

Race 8: (4) Irish Elitist is 0 for 16 on the year but has finished strong in last two and may offer some value facing tougher. (2) Another Homer N comes off some nice overland tries at Monticello. Finds a good spot in a field lacking any standout and gets Holland who has been driving well in recent weeks.

Race 9: Two Philadelphia invaders get the nod here. (1) McBoogie gets the rail off strong speed try and is familiar with Yonkers and (6) Peachys Pistol who pushed hard uncovered but couldn’t clear past a 1:23.2 threequarters. Well bred 4-year-old figures to be riding live cover from this spot and has a shot at a price with good long shot pilot.
