Chapter Seven is back on top in Poll

by Ken Weingartner, Harness Racing Communications

Freehold, NJ — Older trotter Chapter Seven reclaimed the No. 1 spot in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Top 10 poll one week after seeing Check Me Out grab it back from him.

Chapter Seven won the Maxie Lee Memorial Invitational at Harrah’s Philadelphia on August 19 in a stakes-record 1:52.1. Check Me Out was idle and slipped to second in the poll.

A Rocknroll Dance, who won the Battle of the Brandywine in a track-record 1:48.1, moved from fifth to third while Golden Receiver, who captured the William R. Haughton Memorial, jumped to sixth from 10th.

Joining the Top 10 were Colonial winner Googoo Gaagaa and multiple-stakes-winning 2-year-old pacer Captaintreacherous.
